energy-pedia news search tips
Avoid common industry terms
When using the search facility, avoid using generic words common to the industry, e.g. ‘oil’, ‘gas’, ‘exploration’, ‘production’, ‘petroleum’ etc. Otherwise, your search results will show every news item containing these words.
For example, if you wanted to search for ‘Circle Oil’, don’t type in ‘Circle Oil’, just type ‘Circle’. Otherwise, your search results will show every news item containing the word oil. Or, if you wanted information on ‘heavy oil’, just type ‘heavy’.
Other search methods
You can search the site using the drop-down menu at the top of each news listing page. Searching by date, news category (i.e. exploration, production etc) and region.
