Turkey: Trillion Energy announces 2023 year end reserve report
Trillion Energy International has provided a summary and highlights of its December 31, 2023 year-end reserve report. Total proved plus probable conventional natural gas reserves increased to 55.75 Bcf up from 42.5 Bcf (2022), an increase of 31% from 2022. Total proved plus probable oil reserves of 240 Mbbl of oil for Cendere oil field compared to 252 Mbbl of oil in 2022.

Hess reports estimated results for the first quarter of 2024
Hess Corporation has reported net income of $972 million in the first quarter of 2024, compared with net income of $346 million in the first quarter of 2023. The increase in after-tax earnings compared with the prior-year quarter primarily reflects higher production volumes in the first quarter of 2024.

CNOOC Limited achieves strong growth in both net production and net profit in Q1 2024
CNOOC Limited has announced its operating results for Q1 2024. During the quarter, CNOOC Limited recorded a total net production of 180.1 million barrels of oil equivalent ('BOE'), representing an increase of 9.9% year-on-year ('YoY'). The net production from China grew by 6.9% YoY to 123.2 million BOE. Overseas net production rose by 16.9% YoY to 56.9 million BOE, which was mainly driven by increased production from Guyana and Canada.

Ørsted has announced the inauguration of the Greater Changhua 1 and 2a offshore wind farms in Taiwan. Equinor announces first quarter 2024 results
Equinor delivered adjusted operating income of USD 7.53 billion and USD 2.57 billion after tax in the first quarter of 2024. Equinor reported net operating income of USD 7.63 billion and net income at USD 2.67 billion. Adjusted net income was USD 2.84 billion, leading to adjusted earnings per share of USD 0.96.

Namibia: Sintana Energy to acquire up to 67% of Giraffe Energy
Sintana Energy has entered into a definitive agreement with Crown Energy, a private Namibian company, providing for the acquisition by the Company from Crown of up to 67% of the issued and outstanding shares of Giraffe Energy Investments. Giraffe is the owner of a 33% interest in Petroleum Exploration License 79 ('PEL 79') which governs blocks 2815 and 2915 located inboard of blocks operated by BW Energy, Rhino Resources and Shell.
