This is a contract position, residential in Amman, Jordan and is expected to be for an initial duration of 6 months, with subsequent requirements evaluated at that point. The Completion Engineer is part of the Jordan D & C team based in the Amman office. He/she will provide completion and workover engineering design, planning and operations expertise for well re-entries and workovers, recompletions, new well completions and stimulation. Specific tasks, which in general apply both for the workovers and the new well completions, and which will be guided by the company Common Process, will include the following: Well and field data gathering and review. Design basis and functional requirements preparation. Completion and re-completion concept options generation and evaluation. Completions and re-completions basic and detailed design and equipment specification Input and support to completion/workover equipment and services procurement, including RFI/RFP preparation and evaluation, and application of the QCP processes and standards to equipment manufacture. Prepare completion and workover programmes and field operations planning/preparation. Responsible for: Health, Safety and Environment Conducting risk assessments on all completion and workover programmes generated. General: Designing well completions and re-completions that are mechanically and operationally fit-for-purpose for the production life of the well. Ensuring completion/re-completion equipment is selected and ordered in a timely fashion. Communicating with other members of the D&C and Subsurface teams to optimise well planning and programming. Reporting and Liaison Liaison with the Ops. Superintendent, Engineering Lead, the rest of the Completions Engineering team, and other stakeholders during well design, planning and operations. Liaison with contract service providers to ensure that they meet their obligations for the completion activities. Reviewing the development of well completion equipment and methods to ensure use of best technology Key Skills and Experience Degree- level qualifications. A minimum of 10 years of relevant workover and completions design and operations experience, with an emphasis on land-based operations. Knowledge and experience of high temperature gas well workover and completion design and operations. Knowledge and experience of acidizing and hydraulic fracturing for both existing wells/workovers and new completions. Knowledge and experience in well integrity issues and management. Sound decision making skills Strong technical, operations organisational and planning ability. Previous experience working in a multi-cultural environment. Self-motivated, with strong communication, interpersonal and team working skills.
