An exciting opportunity with a global integrated Energy Company who are expanding their data management group and seek a Data Analyst to look after their department subsurface geotechnical data which includes geological, geophysical, petrophysical and engineering data. The Company is an established global organisation engaged in the exploration and production of oil and gas and also in refining and the delivery of natural gas, petroleum products and electricity to the market. They have offices across six continents and continue to expand their offerings. The Company is expanding their data management function globally and have a team looking after departmental data and a team looking after corporate data (Enterprise Data Analysts). This position is a member of the Global Data Management function embedded within the department of Exploration and Production Technology Business Unit. With a strong understanding of subsurface geotechnical data your primary responsibility will be the care and maintenance of departmental technical data within the groups that perform subsurface technical work. This includes building, quality assuring and maintaining corporate standardized project databases, and working with Data Analysts who look after the corporate data to ensure data consistency across the Value Chain. As well as ensuring high quality standard project databases, you will be responsible for the oversight and validation of the promotion process to the Technically Validated Database (TVDB). By working in conjunction with the subsurface professionals, you will ensure that Company’s digital technical knowledge is captured according to the standard TVDB process. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Data Management Team Leader this role encompasses many functions including: • Work with Geoscientists, Petrophysicists, Engineers and other Geoscience support personnel to ensure that data is received in industry-standard formats and stored according to corporate policies.
