Please quote Job Ref: DNC6143 My client, an international firm of consultants now seeks an experienced Project Planner to be seconded in to a large oil & gas operator for a role based in offices in Aberdeen. This is a contract role for a year or more which may be extended. The ideal candidate will have good planning skills with experience gained on both upstream and downstream major projects. You will develop the list of plans required to execute the project, manage and ensure completeness of the development of the activities, logic, resources and progress for the integrated project schedule leading to the creation of the baseline and its subsequent maintenance. You will instigate, develop and police the planning and progress monitoring procedures to ensure that each element of the project performs the processes in a timely manner. You will do the overall schedule for the monthly progress update, forecast and critical path and trend analyses. You will develop status reporting framework and implement throughout the planning hierarchy. You will provide schedule status to the project manager. You will review scope change requests for the impact on schedules and the critical path of the project. You will track the schedule risk mitigation efforts, also implement and ensure compliance and utilise standard tools and processes etc. You should have an Engineering Degree or Diploma and have good experience of working as a Planning Engineer in the oil & gas industry, have good experience in the use of Primavera P6.
