Pakistan: Jura Energy announces commencement of drilling in Badin IV South Block
Jura Energy Corp has announced that drilling has commenced at the Ayesha-1 in the Badin IV South block located in the Lower Indus Basin of Pakistan. The projected depth of the exploratory well is 2,400 meters, which will target the hydrocarbon potential of the Upper Sands of the Lower Goru formation of Cretaceous age.

Morocco: Kosmos Energy announces rig share agreement with BP for exploration well offshore Morocco
Kosmos Energy has entered into a one well rig share agreement with BP and Maersk Drilling for the rig Maersk Discoverer. The rig is expected to commence drilling operations on the FA-1 (formally Eagle-1) exploration well in the Foum Assaka Offshore block in Morocco during the first half of 2014.

Australia: Bengal Energy announces drilling results of Tangalooma-1 at Tookoonooka in Australia’s Cooper Basin
Bengal Energy has announced that Beach Energy has completed drilling operations at Tangalooma-1, the first of two fully funded exploration wells to be drilled in Bengal’s Tookoonooka block within Australia’s Cooper Basin under the Beach JV. The well failed to define a commercial hydrocarbon accumulation and has been plugged and abandoned.

Lundin Petroleum has announced that drilling of appraisal well 16/3-8S on the Johan Sverdrup discovery located in the North Sea sector of the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS), has commenced. The well is located on PL501 at the crest of the Avaldsnes High in the eastern part of the discovery.
