Tunisia: Serinus Energy's Winstar-12bis shows strong initial production rates
Serinus Energy has reported an update on its drilling program in the Sabria field in central Tunisia. The Winstar-12bis well commenced extended production on December 10 2014 and is producing 41.5 API light oil and solution gas, consistent with the rest of the field.

Sao Tome: ERHC Energy signs MoU for São Tomé and Príncipe Exclusive Economic Zone
ERHC Energy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with an International Operating Company related to Block 11 of the São Tomé and Príncipe Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). Under terms of the MOU, ERHC agreed to grant first right of refusal to the IOC for a farm-out of EEZ Block 11 for a period of six months.

Bulgaria: Total delays Bulgaria exploration citing oil price tumble
Drilling for oil and gas at an exploration block off Bulgaria's Black Sea coast will be delayed by at least six months until early 2016 following the fall in global oil prices, French oil firm Total said. Total, operator of the offshore 1-21 Han Asparuh block, has cancelled tenders for drilling services in a decision agreed with its partners in the block, Austria's OMV and Spain's Repsol.

Repsol to buy Talisman Energy for $13 billion
Spanish oil company Repsol said on Tuesday it had reached a deal to buy Talisman Energy, Canada's fifth-largest independent oil producer, for $13 billion. The proposed acquisition will boost Repsol's exploration and production arm and fill a funding gap after the seizure of its Argentine business in 2012.

A 10 percent stake in gas utility GDF Suez, worth about five billion euros ($6.2 billion), could be the first major item on the block in a planned sale of French state assets, sources and analysts say. Peru opened international bidding on seven energy blocks in the Amazon that will require a total investment of $3.15 billion, the government said on Monday.
