Zanzibar announces first licensing round
The Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar and Ministry of Blue Economy and Fisheries has launched Zanzibar’s 1st Licensing Round, which invites bids for 8 blocks totalling 31,883 sq km. The blocks, which are located offshore to the east of the Unguja and Pemba Islands within water depths between 500m and 3,000m, represent a large frontier area.

Norway's oil production in February higher than the Norwegian Offshore Directorate’s forecast
Preliminary production figures for February 2024 show an average daily production of 2,138,000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate. Oil production in February is 3.0 percent more than the NOD’s forecast and 2.4 percent more than the forecast so far this year.

Colombia/Argentina: Interoil announces production report for February 2024
Interoil has announced February 2024 production figures for its assets in Colombia and Argentina. Interoil’s total daily average operated production in February declined by around 271 boepd compared with January. The reduction is mainly coming from fields in Argentina whereas Colombia increased its operated production.

The Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority (Havtil) has granted Aker BP consent to drill exploration wells 25/5-H-2 H and 25/5-H-2 AH in PL102 F/G in the North Sea. The wells will be drilled by the Deepsea Nordkapp semi-sub to test the Trell Portiko 25/5-H-2 H and Trell Sirloin 25/5-H-2 AH prospects

Austria: ADX Energy's Welchau-1 well discovers condensate rich gas
ADX Energy has advised that the Welchau-1 well has encountered 115 metres liquids rich gas column within the primary target 'Steinalm Formation' at a depth between 1452 metres and 1567 metres measured depth (MD). The Steinalm Formation intersected in Welchau is the same zone that flowed condensate rich gas in the nearby Molln-1 well at a rate of 4 MMSCFPD in 1989.

US: Sempra Infrastructure launches Cimarron wind project
Sempra Infrastructure, a subsidiary of Sempra, has reached a positive final investment decision for the development, construction and operation of the Cimarron wind project, the third phase of the Energía Sierra Juarez (ESJ) wind complex. The Cimarron wind project is fully contracted under a 20-year power purchase agreement to Silicon Valley Power for the long-term supply of renewable energy to the City of Santa Clara, California.
