The new Dashboard provides an overview of the licensees’ petroleum resources and reserves on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS).
This can be a useful tool for everyone who works with analysis, management and strategy, and an interesting service for anyone who is curious about developments in the petroleum sector.
The Dashboard provides access to up-to-date key figures for all companies that are active on the NCS. This includes data such as:
- Number of active production licences
- Overview of discoveries and fields in operation
- Estimates for remaining reserves and resources in discoveries
The Dashboard provides a comprehensive picture of the resource base, and makes it easier to look at the scope of reserves and resources on a company-by-company basis.
'This can contribute to more transparency and better understanding of the petroleum activities. It’s also an important step in the direction of more data-driven management,' says Nadine Mader-Kayser, Assistant Director Analyses in the Norwegian Offshore Directorate.
