15 May 24	Nigeria: Seplat Energy announces commissioning of the ANOH gas processing plant Seplat Energy, a leading Nigerian independent energy company listed on both the Nigerian Exchange Limited and London Stock Exchange, has announced the commissioning of the ANOH gas processing plant. The ANOH Gas Processing Company (AGPC), an incorporated joint venture between Seplat Energy and NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company (NGIC), is delivering the ANOH gas plant with Phase One processing capacity of 300mmscfd.
15 May 24	UK: SSE announces construction of Aberarder Wind Farm SSE has taken a final investment decision to proceed with Aberarder Wind Farm in the Scottish Highlands, in a circa £100m investment boost for its onshore wind portfolio. The Aberarder project was successful in September 2023 in the UK’s fifth Contract for Difference (CfD) Allocation round, securing a 15-year contract for low-carbon power generation.

The contract will see Turnwell, a newly incorporated company, deliver 144 unconventional oil and gas wells.

PETRONAS has been awarded the Bobara Working Area with a total acreage of 8,444.49 sq kms during the third round of Indonesia Petroleum Bid Round 2023.

14 May 24	Cote d'Ivoire: CGG launches two new 3D reimaging projects near Côte d’Ivoire’s world-class discoveries CGG, in association with Côte d’Ivoire's Direction Générale des Hydrocarbures (DGH) and PETROCI, has announced two new multi-client 3D reimaging programs, CDI24 Phase I (3,120 km2) and Phase II (6,610 km2). Both projects are supported by the industry, with Phase I commencing immediately and Phase II planned for H1 2025.

14 May 24	Spain: Cepsa selects thyssenkrupp nucera as preferred supplier of a 300-MW electrolyzer for a green hydrogen plant in Spain Cepsa has selected thyssenkrupp nucera as a preferred supplier of the Cepsa-led Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley in southern Spain, one of the largest projects of its kind in Europe. The first phase of the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley entails a green hydrogen production plant at Cepsa’s La Rábida Energy Park in Palos de la Frontera (Huelva) as part of their partnership with Fertiberia.
