Egypt: SDX Energy announces commercial discovery at Sobhi well in Egypt
SDX Energy has announced that the SD-12X ('Sobhi') well in the South Disouq Exploration Permit onshore Nile Delta, Egypt, encountered 108 feet net of high-quality gas-bearing sands. The well was drilled on a sole risk basis and management's best estimate is that the well has encountered approx. 24 bcfe of recoverable gas and condensate resources.

Golar LNG has received written notification of a force majeure claim from BP Mauritania Investments under the Lease and Operate Agreement between the Company and BP relating to the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project, located offshore Mauritania and Senegal.

Namibia: Global Petroleum announces agreement with NAMCOR to licence 3D seismic data
Global Petroleum has come to an agreement with NAMCOR to licence pre-existing 3D seismic data in its offshore Namibia Block, 2011A (PEL0094). This key data, acquired by previous licensees in 2010, covers the Company's Welwitschia Deep prospect and Marula lead, and will enable precise mapping of these features.

Senegal: TDI-Brooks completes MSGBC field data acquisition for TGS and commences another offshore Nigeria
TDI-Brooks International (under contract to TGS), has completed the offshore 'seep-hunting' surface geochemical analysis and geotechnical campaign of the MSGBC Basin, from Northern Senegal through The Gambia and AGC zone, into Guinea-Bissau down to the Guinea transform fault.

South Africa: Scatec Solar’s 258 MW Upington project in South Africa completed
Scatec Solar and partners have grid connected and started commercial operation of the third 86 MW solar plant in Upington, South Africa, completing the 258 MW solar power complex. The 86 MW facility, known as Dyason’s Klip 2, is expected to produce 217 GWh annually.
