Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) has submitted a robust response to the government’s consultation on how best to manage the future of the UK’s gas sector. The response from OEUK, submitted to the Government this week, shows why this undervalues the potential of the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS): recoverable gas reserves amount to 456 billion cubic metres (bcm), more than six times the UK’s annual requirement and more than double the NSTA’s production projection of 226 bcm between 2025-2050. -

Tullow Oil has announced that its its wholly-owned subsidiary Tullow Ghana Limited (TGL) on behalf of itself and its joint venture (JV) partners has signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) to acquire the floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) Prof. John Evans Atta Mills. The FPSO is the production facility for the TEN Fields on the Deep Water Tano Block, offshore Ghana. -

Norway: Norwegian Offshore Directorate reports high production and increase in petroleum resources
According to the Resource Accounts for 2025, oil production on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) in 2025 was the highest since 2009. The Resource Accounts show high production of both liquids and gas, and that resource growth is replacing 60 per cent of production.
