Uruguay: Eni strengthens and expands its presence in Uruguay’s offshore sector
Eni has signed, together with MIWEN (a wholly owned subsidiary of YPF) and the Uruguayan National Oil Company ANCAP, the official agreement for the entry in the OFF-5 exploration block offshore Uruguay, following approval by the Uruguayan authorities.

UK: Chamber demands assurances over reports of fresh North Sea tax raid
Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce is seeking urgent assurances from the Chancellor following reports that the UK Government is considering another tax raid on the North Sea. The intervention follows a report in The Independent yesterday suggesting John Healey is considering further increasing or extending the windfall tax on oil and gas companies already crippled by a headline 78% tax rate.

Namibia: PEL 93 advances to next exploration phase as positive regional results support Basin potential
88 Energy has provided an update on Petroleum Exploration Licence 93 (PEL 93) in Namibia’s onshore Owambo Basin, where the Company holds a fully earned 20% non-operated working interest. The PEL 93 Joint Venture has formally applied to enter the Second Renewal Exploration Period, commencing 3 October 2026, with a proposed work programme that includes preparation for, and drilling of, at least one exploration well during the two-year renewal period.

US: Blue Star Helium extends Helium offtake agreement through Q1 2027

Europa Oil & Gas has provided an update regarding the binding Farmout Agreement ('FOA') signed by its associated company, Antler Global and Fuhai (Beijing) Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary company of the privately owned Fuhai Group New Energy Holding Co. to farm-out a 40% interest in the EG-08 production sharing contract ('PSC') in offshore Equatorial Guinea.

Germany: Sandbank awarded as the best offshore wind farm operational in 2025
The Vattenfall Offshore Wind Farm Sandbank was awarded 'Best Operating Offshore Wind Farm 2025' at the 15th Offshore Wind Economic Forum in Sylt. Sandbank is the second joint project between Vattenfall and Stadtwerke München, following the completion of DanTysk in 2014. Vattenfall owns 51% of Sandbank, while Stadtwerke München owns the remaining 49%.

Germany: Halftime on the high seas: half of turbines for Nordseecluster A offshore wind farm installed
RWE celebrated the halfway point on the high seas as the 22nd wind turbine was installed around 50 kms north of the German island of Juist and half of the turbines for the first construction phase of the Nordseecluster are now in place. Each of the Vestas turbines has a capacity of up to 15 megawatts (MW).

UK onshore wind project pipeline reaches 50 gigawatt milestone
RenewableUK latest EnergyPulse Onshore Wind report shows that the total capacity of the UK’s pipeline of onshore wind farms at any stage of development, including projects at an early stage of development through to those which are fully operational has reached a milestone of 50 gigawatts. One gigawatt of onshore wind generates enough electricity to meet the annual needs of over 650,000 UK homes.

BW Energy has signed a framework agreement with Etu Energias and Chariot Limited to support Etu’s 31% interest in Block 14 and 15.5% interest in Block 14K, two producing deepwater licences offshore Cabinda, Angola.
