Norway: Equinor given consent for exploration drilling in Block 32/4 in the North Sea

Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority has given Equinor consent to drill exploration well 32/4-3 S in production licence PL 921 in the North Sea.. The well will be drilled to test a prospect named 'Gladsheim'.

The well is located around 1758 metres from Troll 62A Cable. The geographical coordinates are: 60° 30' 37.36" N  04° 09' 18.03" E. Water depth at the site is 292 metres.

Well 32/4-2 is to be drilled using the West Hercules mobile drilling facility which is owned and operated by Seadrill. West Hercules is a 6th-generation semi-submersible drilling facility built in 2008 at Daewoo Shipyard, South Korea. The facility received an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) from the PSA in 2012.
