Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority has given Repsol Norge consent for life extension of the Rev field.
The Rev field is part of production licence PL 038 C, for which Repsol is the operator. This production licence was previously valid until 1 April 2021, but has now been extended to 31 December 2023.
On this basis, Repsol has applied to the PSA for consent to extend the life of the field and has now been given consent to use the facilities at Rev until 31 December 2023.
According to information on the Repsol Norge web site, Rev was discovered in February 2001. Production start-up was in 2008. Varg gas has been exported through Rev since February 2014. The well stream is routed through a pipeline to the Armada field in the British sector. Rev is operated by Repsol Norge (70%). Petroro holds a 30% interest.
