EnQuest has announced a four-year extension to the Block 12W Production Sharing Contract ('PSC'), awarded by PetroVietnam. Granted on the PSC's existing terms, this extension runs to July 2034 and provides EnQuest and its partners the opportunity to access upside across Block 12W, with prospectivity spread across three gas discoveries and several additional targets. -

UK: Centrica announces sale of European Energy Solutions Businesses and Panoramic Power
Centrica has completed the disposal of a number of non-core energy solutions businesses. The energy solutions businesses in Italy and the Netherlands have been sold to Joulz, a 3i Infrastructure portfolio company, and the Hungarian business has been disposed of via a management buyout. The Company has also finalised the sale of Panoramic Power. Total proceeds from the transactions are over £80 million. -

UK: Orcadian Energy announces potential funding structure with Albion Labs
AIM-listed Orcadian Energy has announced that the Company is exploring with Albion Labs Canada a potential royalty-based funding structure under which, subject to separate definitive agreements and regulatory approvals, Albion Labs Canada would acquire royalty interests over certain of Orcadian's assets. -

US: Hanwha Qcells and LG Energy Solution Vertech partner to deliver 5 GWh of US energy storage projects
Qcells and LG Energy Solution Vertech - leaders in energy solutions and products - today announced a multiyear commitment to install reliable, affordable, American-made storage products for Qcells’ development projects across the country. The agreement includes 5 GWh of lithium-ion energy storage projects for utility-scale sites, as well as lifecycle services from LG Energy Solution Vertech. -

Netherlands: Equinor and Eneco sign 5-year gas agreement for supplies to the Netherlands
Equinor and Eneco have signed a 5-year agreement for deliveries of gas to Eneco, a main supplier of natural gas, electricity and heat in the Netherlands. The volumes are up to 0.5 billion cubic meters (bcm) per year with deliveries to the Dutch gas grid from 1 February this year. -

UK: Scottish Government refuses consent for CWP's proposed 60-turbine Scoop Hill Wind Farm
The largest renewable energy scheme before Scottish Government decision makers, shovel ready with a grid connection constructed & preparing for operation in 2027, has been refused consent. The proposed 60-turbine Scoop Hill Wind Farm would have created more than 250 construction jobs, delivered £5 million a year in business rates, and provided £2 million annually in community benefit funding. -

Germany: EnBW to supply green offshore wind power to Google in Germany
EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG (EnBW) and Google have entered into a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) under which EnBW will supply Google with 100 megawatts of clean electricity from the He Dreiht offshore wind farm over a period of 15 years. -

Brazil: Petrobras reports on receiving the earnout for Sépia and Atapu
Petrobras reports that it has received R $ 1.65 billion from its partners in the Sépia and Atapu blocks - TotalEnergies EP Brasil Ltda (28%), PETRONAS Petróleo Brasil Ltda (21%) and QatarEnergy Brasil Ltda (21%), in Sépia; and Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda (25%) and TotalEnergies EP Brasil Ltda (22.5%), in Atapu. -

Congo (Brazzaville): The President of the Republic of Congo and Eni's CEO celebrate the first LNG cargo from Phase 2 of Congo LNG
The President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou N’Guesso, and Eni's Chief Executive Officer, Claudio Descalzi, attended in Pointe-Noire the ceremony marking the first cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Nguya FLNG floating facility, signaling the start-up of gas exports from Phase 2 of the Congo LNG project.
