Oman: Tethys Oil spuds exploration well on Block 49 onshore Oman Tethys Oil has announced that drilling operations of exploration well Thameen-1 on Block 49 onshore the Sultanate of Oman have commenced. The well is planned to be drilled to a depth of about 4,000 meters. Primary target is the Late Ordovician Hasirah Sandstone layer at a depth of 3,500 metres (TVD). |

Oman: Tethys Oil farms out onshore Oman Block 49 to EOG Resources Tethys Oil has entered into an agreement with EOG Resources for EOG to obtain a 50 percent interest in the EPSA covering Block 49 onshore Oman. Under the agreement, EOG will also have the option to assume operatorship of the Block and increase its interest to 85 percent for any operation relating to unconventional hydrocarbon resources. |
