- The Walyering gas field has commenced export of commissioning gas into the Parmelia Gas Pipeline for sale.
- Ramp up of production rates is expected to occur over the coming week before firm gas sales deliveries commence at the start of October.

Strike Energy, on behalf of the L23/EP447 Joint Venture, (where Strike is operator and the holder of 55% and Talon Energy the other 45%) has provided an update on the Walyering gas field development.
On the 25th of September 2023 at 1:00pm the Walyering gas field commenced stabilised export of sales gas into the Parmelia Gas Pipeline under its commissioning arrangements with Santos WA Energy Limited (Santos). Strike’s operations team will now proceed to ramp up the field’s production rates over the coming week.
The sales gas is being sold into the Santos gas sales agreement under its commissioning provisions. Firm gas sales to Santos are due to commence at the beginning of October.
Strike Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Nicholls said:
'The commencement of production from the Walyering gas field marks a significant milestone in Strike’s history. The rapid transition from explorer in the Perth Basin in 2019 to a producer is now complete. The Company is poised to build upon this success through its government endorsed Perth Basin gas acceleration strategy. It has been 10 years since the last operator commissioned a new greenfield domestic gas development in WA, and as such, the Strike team is incredibly proud of this achievement.'
