Peru: China's CNPC to invest $2 billion in Block 58
China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) plans to invest $2 billion in an oil and natural gas block in southern Peru in coming years, Rafael Zoeger, the head of Peru's state energy agency Perupetro said. CNPC's Block 58 has some 3.9 trillion cubic feet of natural gas reserves, according to government data.

AziPac, the Seacrest Capital Group-backed E&P company focused on South East Asia, has signed an agreement with Mitra Energy, under which Mitra will withdraw and AziPac will acquire the remaining 60% interest in the Bone PSC.

Japan: Total launches construction of the Miyako Solar Park
Total Solar, a 100% owned Total subsidiary dedicated to solar activities, has launched construction of its second solar power plant in Japan. The 25-megawatt-peak photovoltaic power plant in Miyako, in Iwate province, is expected to start up in 2018 and will provide clean and reliable electricity to over 8,000 households.
