Petrobras has identified the presence of excellent quality oil in the post-salt layer of the Campos Basin, in an exploratory well in the Southwest Tartaruga Verde block. The well, 4-BRSA-1403D-RJS, is located 108 km off the coast in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes-RJ, at a water depth of 734 meters.
The drilling of this well has already been completed. The oil-bearing interval was confirmed through electrical logs, gas indications, and fluid sampling.

These samples will subsequently be sent for laboratory analysis, which will allow for the characterization of the conditions of the reservoirs and fluids found, enabling the continued evaluation of the area's potential.
The Southwest Tartaruga Verde block was acquired in September 2018, during the 5th Production Sharing Round, with Pré-Sal Petróleo SA (PPSA) as the manager. Petrobras is the operator of the block with a 100% stake.
