Petrobras has announced a new gas accumulation discovery in the Copoazu-1 exploratory well, in Block GUA-OFF-0, located in deep waters off Colombia.
This discovery consolidates the gas province and the gas potential in the Colombian offshore, while adding a greater volume of gas to contribute to the region's energy security.

The Copoazu-1 well is located approx. 36 kms from the coast, at a water depth of 964 meters and at a distance of 8 kms from the Sirius-1 (discovery) and Sirius-2 (evaluation) wells, which highlights its relevance within the exploratory context of Block Gua-Off-0.
Drilling of the Copoazu-1 well began on November 11, 2025, and continues safely, respecting the environment and people. Gas-bearing intervals were confirmed through electrical logs and fluid sampling, confirming the presence of gas in another target besides the main target, making the discovery even more significant. The gas-bearing intervals will be subsequently characterized by laboratory analyses.

Petrobras' activity in Block GUA-OFF-0 is aligned with the company's long-term strategy, aiming at the replenishment of oil and gas reserves through the exploration of new frontiers and partnerships with other companies, ensuring the fulfillment of global energy demand during the energy transition. Petrobras, through its subsidiary Petrobras International Braspetro BV – Sucursal Colômbia (PIB COL), acts as the operator of the consortium (44.44% stake), in partnership with Ecopetrol SA (55.56% stake).
