Aventus Energy, a specialist inspection, maintenance & repair, construction and installation solutions provider for onshore and offshore energy assets and infrastructure, has rebranded as Global Energy Solutions - a new identity that connects it with the wider ‘Global’ brand of its parent company. The new identity positions the company front and centre within the group and reflects the scale and ambition of the company’s plans for the future. All management and staff will remain in their current roles following the rebrand.

Started by Managing Director, Ross Thomson, and Board Director, Stuart Paterson in 2021, Aventus Energy grew at pace from a two-person start-up to a leadership and office team of 18 supported by more than 500 colleagues working on projects internationally. Recognised for the quality of its work - to date Aventus has delivered more than 300 projects, achieving a 94% on-time record and zero lost-time incidents - and the strong client relationships it has built, Aventus joined the Global group of companies in 2024.

Speaking about the rebrand, Global Energy Solutions Managing Director, Ross Thomson, commented:

'By bringing our brand closer to the wider Global group of businesses delivering energy and infrastructure solutions, we create greater opportunities for collaboration across the portfolio, giving us the platform to tender for - and deliver - larger framework contracts and more complex turnkey solutions, while offering our clients a broader range of services.

'This exciting new chapter for the business builds on the work we already do well, giving us the backing of a strong organisation with the scale and reputation to help the business reach its full potential. As Global Energy Solutions we will continue supporting the oil and gas sector while placing increasing focus on green energy and playing a key role in the energy transition. This is evidenced by the three major contracts announced today.'

Major renewables contracts announced

As the new brand was unveiled, Global Energy Solutions also announced that it has clinched four major renewable energy infrastructure contracts. These add to the recently awarded multi-million pound contract from Inch Cape Offshore for the delivery of foundation completion activities on its 1.1 gigawatt offshore wind farm off the Angus coast - the company’s single biggest individual contract to date.

Continuing its success on Inch Cape OWF, Global Energy Solutions has been awarded a Multi-Scope contracts with a trio of new Chinese clients. Having recently commenced, the company will deliver various construction and installation work scopes for CFHI, Dajin and CWHI through to October this year.

Spreading their wings internationally with new client Chantier De L’Atlantique is a Welding and Protective Coating Project for the Offshore Substation Hook-Up of the RWE owned Nordseecluster A Offshore Wind Farm in Germany, marking the company’s first major hook-up project.

In a huge coup for the company, Global Energy Solutions has also announced that it has been awarded a Major Offshore Contract on a UK Offshore Wind Farm. This landmark five-year framework contract for Saipem will kick off in this month, running until Sept 2031.

And finally, Global Energy Solutions are delighted to announce an O&M contract on another major UK Offshore Wind Farm. Works will include Statutory Inspections, planned O&M work scopes and ad-hoc support throughout 2026/2027.

Speaking about these great milestones, Gordon Farmer, Board Director of parent company, Global, commented:

'I’m confident that Aventus Energy will continue to go from strength-to-strength as Global Energy Solutions. Ross and Stuart did - and continue to do - a fantastic job in growing the company and it now has the springboard, working alongside fellow group companies - to go after the major turnkey contracts that reflect the scale of their ambition and their capabilities.

'Already, we are delighted to announce that GES has been awarded a number of significant contracts in the renewable space and I’m sure these are the just the latest of what will be many more.'
