Group revenue reaches EUR 4.45 billion / Second consecutive year of revenue growth of around 16 percent

ENERCON has returned to profitability: after several challenging years, the company reported positive earnings again in 2025. Compared to the previous year, operating profit after depreciation, interest and taxes improved significantly by EUR 189.90 million to EUR 11.99 million (2024: EUR -177.91 million). The 2025 annual financial statements (consolidated financial statements of ENERCON’s parent company, UEE Holding SE & Co. KG) also show a substantial increase in group revenue from its core business of developing, manufacturing, selling and servicing onshore wind turbines, rising to EUR 4.45 billion (2024: EUR 3.83 billion).

'For the second year in a row, we have increased our revenue by around 16 percent', says ENERCON CEO Udo Bauer. ‘These figures are further evidence of our strong upward trajectory. After already returning to positive operating earnings and achieving a positive EBITDA in 2024, we have now also delivered a positive EBIT in 2025. What is particularly pleasing for me is that we exceeded our targets for earnings, revenue and margins.’

In 2025, ENERCON commissioned a total of 627 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 2,785 MW (previous year: 2,776 MW). In the German market, ENERCON achieved a market share of 30.4 percent based on an installed capacity of 1,594 MW. Across Europe, ENERCON increased its market share to 15.5 percent (previous year: 15.1 percent). Türkiye was ENERCON’s strongest export market in nominal terms in 2025. Overall, ENERCON’s export installations amounted to 1,192 MW in 2025.

‘ENERCON’s position continued to recover significantly in 2025’, says CFO Dr Michael Jaxy. ‘The company has successfully overcome its structural challenges. The return to profitability sends a strong signal regarding the effectiveness of the multi-year turnaround process. The targeted group net profit was achieved.’

According to the Executive Board, the positive business trend is continuing. ‘We continue to see strong order intake, with a 40 percent increase compared to previous years. By the end of 2025, our order intake had reached EUR 5.85 billion’, says CEO Udo Bauer. ‘In addition, we have a stable order pipeline extending well into the coming years. Our order books are filled through 2028.’

Boost from top model: The E-175 EP5 is a key driver of ENERCON’s success

This development has been driven in particular by the new flagship model, the E-175 EP5. ‘With this turbine platform, we are once again among the industry leaders’, says Udo Bauer. ‘Our service business is also a benchmark within the industry and remains a stable pillar of our commercial activities.’

The ENERCON CEO highlights another key success factor behind the company’s business performance: ‘As a solutions provider for the renewable energy ecosystem, we offer our customers more than just wind turbines. This strategic repositioning, which we implemented following our restructuring to align ourselves optimally with market needs in the years ahead, has been very well received by customers. They understand that integrated solutions will become increasingly important in the next phase of the energy transition.’

Based on the Group’s development in recent years and its performance so far in the current financial year, ENERCON has very strong prospects for continuing to play an important role in the future, according to the Group management report.

‘Self-financed profitable growth is planned through 2028’, says CFO Dr. Michael Jaxy. ‘From a Group perspective, earnings are expected to improve further in 2026. We expect ENERCON’s profitability to return to the level of its peer group. Based on our validated planning, there is a clear prospect of very strong profitability by industry standards, combined with sound financial stability.’
