EnerMech has signed a global multi-year collaboration agreement with Optilift, a Norway-based technology company, to deliver safer, more efficient and less weather dependent crane and lifting operations across the energy sector.

This collaboration agreement will see the organizations offer a combined lifting solution. Optilift will provide cutting edge smart sensors and digital systems while EnerMech’s global capability will enable smooth installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance through its existing workforce. The partnership enhances EnerMech’s Lifting Solutions business line by expanding its global services to include technology-enabled crane and cargo handling.

Building on EnerMech’s established network of lifting professionals across its regional hubs in 26 locations worldwide, Optilift’s advanced technology will allow on-site crane operators to make data-led informed decisions.

Optilift systems that will be available through the collaboration includes an offshore Motion Reporter which measures relative heave movement, minimising weather window constraints. There is also its People Detector, which alerts operators to personnel on screen to enhance onsite safety and a Boom Tip Indicator, to reduce load movement and support controlled placement of cargo.

EnerMech’s Lifting Solutions business division supports both onshore and offshore energy developments, from installation through to late-life support and has been selected by Optilift to be its selected partner due its ability to supportimmediate installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of their technology. EnerMech provides a full suite of crane services, including operations, spares management, crane management, overhaul, and design & engineering.

Dan Collins, Senior Vice President - Lifting Solutions at EnerMech, said: 'Across the globe, we are seeing increased demand for lifting solutions enhanced by technologies that are safe and align with operational plans.

'By combining Optilift’s state of the art technology with our on the ground expertise in each of these geographies, we are able to provide our customers with a unique structured service that ensures a high-quality and consistent experience, no matter where they are in the world.'

Camilla B. Nylund, Optilift Managing Director, said: 'Optilift was built on a simple idea: that any crane can be made safer and more productive by adding intelligence without rebuilding the crane. Through our Lifting Support product family, operators take a measured step toward safer, more efficient lifting today, on their existing fleet.

'We are excited to work with EnerMech to serve the full range of customers. EnerMech’s technical depth, operator trust, and lifting professionals in 26 countries help our customers adopt the technology at their own pace with their existing crane fleet.'
