For over 15 years, Wood’s integrity teams have supported clients in the North Sea using Elementz’s subsea inspection and integrity management software platform, Integrity Elementz.

This partnership builds on an established collaboration to provide global access to trained subsea integrity specialists. Clients can implement Integrity Elementz with confidence, supported by Elementz’s technology and Wood’s >subsea integrity expertise.

The changing demands of subsea asset integrity management

Subsea asset owners face increasing pressure to manage ageing infrastructure more efficiently, sustainably and safely. Inspection volumes are rising, portfolios are becoming more complex and regulatory, and performance expectations continue to increase – while teams are expected to deliver more with fewer resources.

Yet many operators are still working within fragmented subsea integrity delivery models. Inspection data is captured across disconnected systems, engineering judgement is often applied offline and multiple integrity management providers introduce inconsistency in workflows, standards and outputs. The result is slower time-to-value, duplicated effort and an unnecessary operational burden on already stretched teams.

The Wood-Elementz partnership addresses this challenge head on, combining Integrity Elementz technology, with Wood’s subsea engineering expertise, inspection management capability and global delivery reach.

Built on two decades of subsea integrity management collaboration

Drawing on nearly two decades   of collaboration and a shared understanding of subsea integrity challenges, the Wood-Elementz partnership is designed as an extendable model for the future.

By combining a robust digital platform with experienced inspection capabilities, embedded engineering support and global delivery scale, the partnership allows clients in all corners of the globe to confidently implement and use Integrity Elementz as part of their subsea inspection and integrity management programs.

As subsea inspection demand continues to grow and experienced resources become harder to find, this integrated approach offers a practical, scalable path forward.

Validating digital subsea inspection and integrity delivery in live operations

The global partnership model has already been validated in live operations.

After completing its first inspection campaign using Integrity Elementz, an independent Australian operator participated in a joint lessons-learned session with Wood and Elementz.

Performance was reviewed across the full campaign lifecycle – from work pack creation and hardware set-up through to remote inspection execution, data quality assurance and final results transfer. Feedback highlighted:

  • Clear, repeatable workflows across the campaign lifecycle
  • Smooth integration with digital video recording systems
  • Seamless upload of inspection media to the cloud environment
  • Effective delivery of remote inspections from the operations centre

First campaigns on new platforms are typically where risk is highest with unfamiliar workflows, new hardware configurations and dependencies on remote operations all introducing complexity. In this case, having Wood working within the same digital environment as the software removed much of the friction that typically slows early adoption.

Engineering context and operational expertise were present from the outset, rather than applied retrospectively. The result was clean data, consistent outputs and a clearly defined improvement roadmap – giving the operator confidence to scale and providing the partnership with a replicable blueprint for future deployments.
