CNOOC Limited has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, CNOOC Africa Holding, has entered into the Exploration, Development & Production Contract (EDPC) with Midland Oil Company (Md.O.C) for Block 7 in the Republic of Iraq.
Block 7 is mainly located in Province Diwaniyah, with an area of 6,300 sq kms.
According to the terms of the contract, the first stage of the exploration period is 3 years. CNOOC Africa Holding Ltd. willl hold 100% interest and act as the operator.
