Equinor has selected Multiconsult Norge with subcontractors Aker Solutions and LINK Arkitektur to deliver engineering services for the electrification of oil and gas installations in the Halten, Tampen and Grane/Balder areas on the Norwegian continental shelf.

The agreement that has now been signed covers the design of a complete onshore facility (excluding high-voltage equipment) and includes grid connection, transmission lines, three transformer stations and the laying of submarine cables.
The contract includes a pre-FEED/FEED phase scheduled to be completed during 2025, as well as options related to the implementation phase scheduled to be completed by 2030.
The electrification projects are in an early phase and much work remains to be done before final investment decisions in the various partnerships can be made. The projects must then be approved by the authorities.
