As announced on 22 April 2024, the boards of directors of Vår Energi ASA and Vår Energi Norge AS (formerly Neptune Energy Norge AS) have approved the joint plan for the merger of the two group companies. The decisions to approve the merger will now be filed with the Norwegian Register of Business Enterprises.
The merger is expected to be completed around the end of the second quarter of 2024, after the statutory creditor notice period of six weeks has expired.
