
Petrobras has completed the acquisition of a 27.5% interest in Block 4, located in São Tomé and Príncipe, Africa. With this acquisition, Petrobras joins the block's consortium, comprised of Shell, the asset's operator (30%), Galp (27.5%) and ANP-STP (15%).
Petrobras has been operating in São Tomé and Príncipe since February 2024, when it acquired a 45% interest in Blocks 10 and 13 and a 25% interest in Block 11.
The transaction reinforces Petrobras' exploration activities in the African continent, with the aim of portfolio diversification, and is aligned with the company's long-term strategy of replenishing oil and gas reserves through exploration of new frontiers and partnerships.
The acquisition of Block 4 in São Tomé and Príncipe followed all of the company's internal governance procedures and is in line with the 2025-2029 Strategic Plan.
