Petrobras, following up on its announcement of April 17, 2026, has completed the acquisition of a stake and the assumption of operations for Block 3 , located offshore São Tomé and Príncipe, in Africa.
With the completion of the transaction, the consortium will be composed of Petrobras (operator, with a 75% stake) in partnership with the company Oranto (15%) and the National Petroleum Agency of São Tomé and Príncipe (10%).
This operation aligns with Petrobras' strategy of replenishing oil and gas reserves through the exploration of new frontiers, both in Brazil and abroad, as foreseen in its Business Plan. The evaluation of new opportunities aims to diversify the company's exploration portfolio, promoting value creation and the long-term sustainability of its business.
