Viridien has announced the signing of a strategic multi-client partnership agreement with Société de Pétroles du Sénégal (PETROSEN), Senegal's national petroleum company.

The partnership establishes a collaborative framework for Viridien to deliver comprehensive subsurface intelligence throughout the prolific and highly prospective MSGBC Basin spanning Mauritania-Senegal-Gambia-Guinea Bissau-Guinea Conakry. This agreement signifies Viridien's strategic drive to partner with national energy companies where shared ambition and long-term mutual value creation sit at the heart of the relationship.

Through this collaboration, Viridien and PETROSEN are committed to establishing new regional benchmarks for subsurface characterization, technical excellence, capacity building and sustainable resource development – reinforcing Senegal's position as a premier destination for petroleum investment in West Africa.

Mr. Alioune Seck, CEO, PETROSEN E&P, said: 'This strategic partnership with Viridien reflects PETROSEN E&P’s commitment to enhancing Senegal’s attractiveness for exploration investment. By combining our vision with Viridien’s advanced geoscience capabilities, we will improve access to high-quality subsurface data, support informed investment decisions, and help unlock the country’s full exploration potential for the benefit of Senegal and its partners.'

Dechun Lin, EVP, Earth Data, Viridien, said: 'This partnership represents a significant milestone for Viridien as we enter the MSGBC Basin and establish an enduring, collaborative relationship with PETROSEN. By combining our world-leading seismic imaging and data analytics expertise with PETROSEN's deep regional knowledge and stewardship, together we are uniquely positioned to transform Senegal's subsurface understanding and support Senegal's energy ambitions.'
