TIS Energy has announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Avenir Energy’s shares in Avenir Energy Pty Ltd, which holds a participating interest in the Manora Oil Field, located in the Gulf of Thailand. The transaction was completed on 28 October 2025.
This acquisition marks a major milestone in TIS Energy’s growth strategy, representing the company’s entry into Thailand’s offshore oil production sector and reinforcing its commitment to expanding its upstream portfolio across the Asia-Pacific region.
The Manora Oil Field, situated within Block G1/48, lies approx. 80 kms offshore Prachuap Khiri Khan province. Under existing arrangements, Valeura Energy (Thailand) will continue as the field’s operator, ensuring uninterrupted production and operational stability throughout the transition.
'The Manora acquisition marks a pivotal moment for TIS Energy as we diversify and deepen our upstream presence in Southeast Asia,' said Colin Soh, Deputy Managing Director. 'This asset brings immediate production, near-term cash flow, and a strong operational partner with Valeura Energy – key ingredients in executing our balanced growth strategy across upstream oil and gas.'
The acquisition aligns with TIS Energy’s long-term vision to strengthen its upstream asset base across Southeast Asia. The Manora field complements TIS Energy’s existing gas-producing assets in Indonesia’s Blora and Sebuku blocks, enhancing portfolio resilience through a more balanced mix of oil and gas assets.
Under the terms of the agreement, TIS Energy will work closely with Valeura Energy to ensure seamless operational continuity and to coordinate future co-lifting operations.
With this acquisition, TIS Energy continues to advance its ambition to become a leading regional energy player, supporting a secure and sustainable energy supply across the Asia-Pacific region. The company remains focused on pursuing sustainable growth opportunities and creating long-term value for its stakeholders through strategic expansion and operational excellence.
