
Sunda Energy, the AIM-quoted exploration and appraisal company focused on gas assets in Southeast Asia, has announced that its subsidiary SundaGas Banda Unipessoal Lda ('SundaGas') has submitted to the Timor-Leste regulator Autoridade Nacional do Petróleo ('ANP') drafts for public consultation of the Environmental Impact Statement ('EIS') and Environmental Management Plan ('EMP') for the drilling of the planned Chuditch-2 appraisal well on Timor-Leste Production Sharing Contract TL-SO-19-16.
The draft EIS and EMP incorporate results from the environmental baseline survey conducted at the location, as announced on 28 January 2025. The public consultation commences immediately, with announcements in Timor-Leste online, broadcast and print media. Copies of the draft EIS and EMP will also be uploaded today on the Company website, www.sundaenergy.com.
The public consultation will run for a statutory period of 14 days, after which SundaGas will submit final versions of these documents to ANP for review and approval.
Further details on the preparations for the drilling of the Chuditch-2 well will be announced in due course.
