Snowfox Discovery, a pioneer in natural hydrogen exploration, has successfully accessed more than 10,000 acres of exploration leases in Audubon County, Iowa. The Company expects its exploration work programme to result in a drilling campaign in late 2027/2028.
This access marks Snowfox’s first major U.S. land position and represents an important milestone in the company’s strategy to build a diversified global portfolio of natural hydrogen opportunities.
Audubon County is located in what we consider to be the most prospective region of the Mid-Continental Rift system. Our selection of this specific area is a result of Snowfox’s exploration approach, which combines geophysics, geochemistry and proprietary geological modelling.

The project also benefits from proximity to existing ammonia and fertiliser infrastructure, and a potential pathway to early industrial demand.
