Norway: Techouse and partners complete testing of steam generator for offshore installations
Technology company Techouse has successfully completed testing of a newly developed compact once-through steam generator that can enable substantial reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions from power and heat production at offshore installations. The joint industry project (JIP) is supported by several energy companies, including TotalEnergies and Equinor, plus independent research institute SINTEF Energy Research. -

UK: Construction complete at RWE’s Enoch Hill onshore wind farm in East Ayrshire
RWE, one of Scotland’s leading clean power generators, has confirmed completion of construction of its latest Scottish onshore wind farm, Enoch Hill, located near New Cumnock in East Ayrshire. Commissioning of the turbines was completed in May this year, when Enoch Hill became the second new onshore wind farm to be constructed by RWE in Scotland in 2026 -

US: Santos loads first Pikka crude oil cargo from Alaska
Santos today announced the successful loading of the first crude oil cargo from the Pikka phase 1 development on Alaska’s North Slope. The inaugural cargo of 450,000 barrels of Alaska North Slope crude was loaded aboard the Polar Resolution at the Valdez Marine Terminal and is destined for the United States West Coast refining system. -

Italy: Encavis strengthens its Italian business with first large-scale battery storage project
Encavis is adding a utility-scale battery storage system to its Italian portfolio for the first time. The standalone battery storage facility in Ceprano (Lazio region) will have an installed capacity of around 65 MW and a storage capacity of around 260 MWh. Commissioning is scheduled for 2028. -

Brazil: Petrobras reports R$ 52.4 billion (US$ 10.4 billion) profit in Q2 2026
Petrobras reported net income of R$ 52.4 billion (US$ 10.4 billion) in the second quarter of 2026, 97% higher than in the same period of 2025. Adjusted EBITDA amounted to R$ 93.8 billion (US$ 18.6 billion). The company's operational performance drove the financial results for the quarter, which was marked by record levels of Petrobras-operated oil production in Brazil.
