Australia: RWE gets green light to move Australia’s first eight-hour battery from commissioning to full operations
RWE has received official sign-off from the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) and Transmission Network Service Provider Transgrid to operate Australia’s first eight hour Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at full capacity. The Limondale BESS comprises 144 Tesla Megapacks that are uniquely registered to charge at 100 megawatts (MW) and discharge at 50 megawatts (MW). -

Germany: RWE produces solar power for KRONOS TITAN in Nordenham
RWE and KRONOS TITAN are advancing the sustainable energy supply of industrial operations. RWE has successfully built and is now operating a ground-mounted photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 24.7 megawatts peak on a 20-hectare area at the KRONOS facility in Nordenham, Lower Saxony. -

Poland: OX2 starts construction of solar and energy storage projects in Poland
OX2 has taken investment decisions for two significant renewable energy projects in Poland: the 165 MWp Lion solar farm in the Lubuskie Voivodeship and the company’s first Polish energy storage facility, a 50 MW / 120 MWh battery installation to be built in Osiek Jasielski in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. -

Germany: Vestas wins new orders in Germany
Vestas has announced two new orders in Germany as part of its Q2 order intake. Wehrder project is for 64 MW, and an undisclosed project is for 24 MW. For both projects, delivery is planned to begin in Q1 2027, with commissioning scheduled to begin in Q3 2027. -
