    In a first for both the region and the client, Strohm has completed fabrication of the first 13 water alternating gas injection (WAG) thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) Jumpers as part of its innovative Jumper on Demand concept, for ExxonMobil’s Yellowtail field offshore Guyana.

    Romania: Vestas signs 269 MW order to complete second phase of Romania’s largest wind farm
    First Look Solutions S.R.L., a subsidiary of Rezolv Energy, has placed a 269 MW order with Vestas to complete the second phase of Vifor wind farm in Buzau Country, Romania. Once both phases are fully operational, the Vifor project will become the largest wind farm in Romania and one of the largest onshore wind farms in Europe, with a total capacity of 461 MW.

    UK: RenewableUK welcomes Scottish Government's decision to grant consent to Berwick Bank offshore wind farm
    Commenting on the Scottish Government's decision to grant a consent order for SSE Renewables' Berwick Bank offshore wind farm, which will stand at a capacity of 4.1GW, enough to power more than six million homes each year, RenewableUK's Deputy Chief Executive Jane Cooper said the approval is a pivotal milestone for Britain’s energy transition. With 307 turbines, this will be one of the world’s largest wind farms.

    Germany: Orrön Energy announces the sale of a 76 MW solar project in Germany
    Orrön Energy has entered into an agreement with Saxovent Renewables to sell a 76 MW solar project in Germany, for a total consideration of MEUR 4.0. The project is located in the northeastern part of Germany, and is being developed as an agrivoltaic (Agri-PV) project, enabling agricultural activities to take place alongside solar power generation.

    UK: Renewables now provide over half of the UK’s electricity generation
    New statistics published today by the Government confirm that renewable energy accounted for over half of the UK’s total electricity generation for the first time last year, generating a record annual percentage of the country’s electricity in 2024, and outstripping fossil fuels for the fourth time in five years. Onshore and offshore wind generated their highest annual percentages of electricity ever.

At full capacity, Berwick Bank could generate enough electricity to power more than six million homes annually.

    UK: Consultation response on greater transparency on industry compliance under new plans by NSTA
    In August 2024 the NSTA launched a consultation on publishing operator names earlier in the sanctions process, as well as publishing decommissioning data, including a comparative table of performance. On 31 July 2025 the NSTA published a statement regarding the NSTA’s general policy approach to the publication of company specific information.
