31 Jul 25Romania: Vestas signs 269 MW order to complete second phase of Romania’s largest wind farm
First Look Solutions S.R.L., a subsidiary of Rezolv Energy, has placed a 269 MW order with Vestas to complete the second phase of Vifor wind farm in Buzau Country, Romania. Once both phases are fully operational, the Vifor project will become the largest wind farm in Romania and one of the largest onshore wind farms in Europe, with a total capacity of 461 MW. -

31 Jul 25UK: RenewableUK welcomes Scottish Government's decision to grant consent to Berwick Bank offshore wind farm
Commenting on the Scottish Government's decision to grant a consent order for SSE Renewables' Berwick Bank offshore wind farm, which will stand at a capacity of 4.1GW, enough to power more than six million homes each year, RenewableUK's Deputy Chief Executive Jane Cooper said the approval is a pivotal milestone for Britain’s energy transition. With 307 turbines, this will be one of the world’s largest wind farms. -

Orrön Energy has entered into an agreement with Saxovent Renewables to sell a 76 MW solar project in Germany, for a total consideration of MEUR 4.0. The project is located in the northeastern part of Germany, and is being developed as an agrivoltaic (Agri-PV) project, enabling agricultural activities to take place alongside solar power generation. -

New statistics published today by the Government confirm that renewable energy accounted for over half of the UK’s total electricity generation for the first time last year, generating a record annual percentage of the country’s electricity in 2024, and outstripping fossil fuels for the fourth time in five years. Onshore and offshore wind generated their highest annual percentages of electricity ever. -

Nscale Global Holdings, Aker and OpenAI have announced the launch of Stargate Norway: an advanced AI infrastructure project in Narvik, Northern Norway.
