UK: Hygen acquires HyBont low-carbon hydrogen project in Wales
Hygen Energy has announced the acquisition of the HyBont low-carbon hydrogen project from Marubeni Corporation. HyBont is a low-carbon hydrogen production and refuelling project located in Bridgend, Wales. The project was successfully awarded funding through the UK Government’s first Hydrogen Allocation Round (HAR1) for electrolytic hydrogen production. -

GoM: Beacon Offshore Energy commences oil and natural gas production from the Zephyrus field
Beacon Offshore Energy has commenced oil and natural gas production from the Zephyrus field. Production from the initial well in the field commenced in late December 2025. The Miocene aged development is located in Mississippi Canyon Block 759, approx. 130 miles southeast of New Orleans, LA, in water depths ranging from 3,100 to 3,600 feet. -

Mozambique: Eni announces the hull launch of the Coral North FLNG
Eni and its partners, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), ENH, KOGAS and XRG have announced today in Geoje, South Korea, the hull launch of the Coral North FLNG, fully in line with the project schedule. Coral North will be the second state-of-the-art floating LNG facility to be deployed in the Rovuma Basin waters, offshore Cabo Delgado, north of Mozambique, and will bring to production the gas from the northern part of Coral gas reservoir.
