Brazil: Petrobras surpasses R$700 billion in market value and breaks record after new discovery in Amapá
Petrobras hit its record market value on October 2nd, 2026, reaching R$ 700.08 billion at the close of trading on B3, the São Paulo Stock Exchange. It was the first time in history that the company surpassed the R$ 700 billion mark. The upward movement was driven by the announcement of a new oil discovery in ultra-deep waters, in the Sedimentary Basin of the Amazon River Mouth Basin, on the Brazilian Equatorial Margin. -

Australia: EnerMech granted five-year contract extension with Chevron Australia

UK: Early work starts on proposed Adlingfleet wind farm
Vattenfall is exploring proposals for a new onshore wind farm in the East Riding of Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. Adlingfleet Wind Farm would be located near Adlingfleet, Garthorpe, Fockerby and Luddington. Brazil: Petrobras platform, P-80 (Búzios 9), begins its journey to Brazil
The P-80 platform left the Tuas Boulevard Yard shipyard in Singapore, heading towards the Búzios field in the pre-salt layer of the Santos Basin, the largest field in Brazil in terms of reserves and production. With the capacity to produce 225,000 barrels of oil and process 12 million cubic meters of gas per day, one of the largest in the world industry, the P-80 is part of a set of six giant platforms belonging to Petrobras. -

Egypt: Scatec starts construction of the 900 MW Shadwan wind project in Egypt
Scatec, in partnership with EDF power solutions ('EDF'), has started construction of the 900 MW Shadwan onshore wind project in Egypt. In connection with the project, Scatec has signed equity bridge loan (EBL) agreements totalling USD 150 million with The Arab Energy Fund (TAEF). The 3-year EBL facility comprises USD 50 million for Shadwan and USD 100 million for the 1,950 MW solar 3,935 MWh BESS Energy Valley project. -
