BW Energy announces Q4 2025 operational update
Net production attributable to BW Energy was 2.3 million barrels of oil (mmbbls) in the fourth quarter of 2025, equivalent to 25.2 thousand barrels of oil per day (kbopd), from the Dussafu field in Gabon (73.5% working interest) and the Golfinho field in Brazil (100% working interest). -

EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG (EnBW) has decided to not continue the offshore wind projects Mona and Morgan in the UK. The primary reason for EnBW's withdrawal is that the two projects did not receive government support through so-called 'Contracts for Difference' in the recently completed allocation round of the UK Department of Energy Security and Net Zero. -

RWE Supply & Trading, and Texas LNG Brownsville LLC, part of Glenfarne Group, have signed a 20-year sales and purchase agreement for one million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of liquefied natural gas (LNG). -

Australia: Woodside executes JERA winter contract
Woodside Energy Trading Singapore Pte Ltd (Woodside) has announced the execution of a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with JERA Co., Inc. for the supply of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes (approx. 0.2 million tonnes) per year during Japan’s peak winter period for five years, commencing in 2027. -

UK: NSTA issues fines to two companies totalling £350,000
The North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) has handed down fines totalling £350,000 to a pair of North Sea operators as it continues to take a firm line on breaches of emissions limits and on well decommissioning. CNR International’s £250,000 penalty is for exceeding venting limits twice in the same year on the same fields, while NEO has been fined £100,000 for attempting to fully abandon a well without the required consent to undertake the work. -

UK: Record-breaking offshore wind auction marks major shift in Britain’s energy future
Britain has reached new highs in its transition to clean energy, following the largest offshore wind auction ever held in the UK or Europe. The latest Contracts for Difference allocation round (AR7) has locked in 8.4 gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind capacity, enough to generate clean electricity equivalent to powering more than 12 million homes.
