88 Energy has announced the execution of a binding Participation Agreement and Joint Operating Agreement (together the Farm-out Agreement) with Westlawn Americas Offshore LLC (WAO), for the South Prudhoe Project on Alaska's North Slope. The transaction delivers up to US$10.9 million (A$15.5 million) towards the drilling and evaluation of the Augusta-1 exploration well and South Prudhoe work-programme and budget. -

UK: Nearly 50,000 jobs supported by Scotland's renewable energy industry, new report finds
Scotland’s renewable energy industry supported an estimated 49,200 full-time equivalent jobs and £14.9 billion of economic output in 2024, new research shows. The independent report by the University of Strathclyde’s Fraser of Allander Institute, commissioned by Scottish Renewables, also found the industry supported £5.1 billion of gross value added (GVA), underlining its role as a major driver of Scotland’s economy. -
