Van Oord’s offshore installation vessel Aeolus has installed the first monopile foundation at the RWE Sofia Offshore Wind Farm, located on Dogger Bank in the central North Sea. The 1.4 GW Sofia Offshore Wind Farm, one of the largest offshore wind projects in the world, will have enough capacity to power 1.2 million average UK homes. -

Vestas has received an 84 MW order from BE Energy, a subsidiary of Burgenland Energie, to repower a part of the Neusiedl-Weiden wind energy project in Austria. Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025 with commissioning scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2025. -

According to a report by Wood Mackenzie, PETRONAS discoveries Roystonea and Fusaea are in the region of 400 million barrels of recoverable resources, which could be enough to support an FPSO with an oil processing capacity of up to 100,000 b/d FPSO development. Wood Mackenzie now holds Suriname's discovered resources at more than 2.4 billion barrels of oil and liquids and more than 12.5 tcf of gas. -

In exchange, Maha will receive new ordinary shares issued by 3R Petroleum, equivalent to 2.17% of the total voting and share capital of the entity resulting from the combination of 3R Petroleum and Enauta. -

20 May 24US: APA announces over $700 million in asset sales from two transactions for non-core Texas properties
APA Corporation has announced the sale of non-core producing properties by Apache Corporation and certain of its subsidiaries in two separate transactions with aggregate proceeds of more than $700 million, prior to customary closing adjustments. Combined, the properties represent estimated net production in the first-quarter 2024 of 13,000 boe/d, of which just over one-third is oil. -
