ERG has completed construction and powered up the Aukrug wind farm, located in northern Germany. The farm consists of four Vestas V150 turbines, each rated at 5.6 MW, for a total installed capacity of 22.4 MW and an estimated annual output of approximately 50 GWh.
The plant benefits from a 20-year CfD, in line with the Group's revenue stabilization strategy. The renewable energy produced by the plant will be able to meet the electricity needs of approximately 8,000 households, for a total of 16 kilotons of CO2 avoided annually.
Paolo Merli, CEO of ERG, commented: 'With the energization of the Aukrug wind farm, ERG surpasses the 350 MW mark of installed wind power in Germany. Aukrug is the first of four projects currently under construction in the country, including repowering and greenfield projects, to enter into operation, demonstrating the Group's solid growth path in a key market like Germany and its strategy aimed at ensuring revenue stability and predictability thanks to the CfD benefiting the plant.'
