RWE has successfully completed its share buyback programme, launched in November 2024, within the envisaged 18-month timeframe. The total volume of the share buyback programme amounted to €1.5 billion. This means that the total acquisition volume was fully utilised, thereby ensuring that the announced measure to optimise capital allocation was implemented as intended. In the period from 28 November 2024 to 3 June 2026, shares were acquired in three tranches, each with a volume of approximately €500 million (excluding transaction costs).
A total of approximately 38 million RWE AG shares were repurchased. Taking into account the compensation amounts paid to or received from the executing banks during the term, the average purchase price per share was €38.52.
