UK: EnergyPathways joins Hydrogen UK

EnergyPathways, an energy transition company developing low carbon integrated energy solutions in the UK, is pleased to announce that it has joined Hydrogen UK, the UK's leading trade association supporting organisations to develop, scale up and deploy hydrogen solutions.

About HUK

Hydrogen UK is the leading trade association for the hydrogen sector in the United Kingdom, committed to accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy through the development and adoption of hydrogen technologies. Representing a diverse membership that includes innovators, producers, and end-users, HUK serves as a collaborative platform to advocate forUK government policy advancement, industry standards, and investment in hydrogen infrastructure. By fostering partnerships and championing the potential of hydrogen, HUK is key in driving the UK's ambition to achieve net-zero emissions and a sustainable energy future.

As a member of HUK, EnergyPathways will have access to key stakeholders, including government and local authorities. EnergyPathways plans to make a leading contribution in HUK in helping develop regulatory frameworks and policies that will promote investment and growth in the UK hydrogen economy. Membership includes tier-one companies from across the entire hydrogen value chain such as BP, Cadent, Centrica, EDF, Equinor, ExxonMobil, National Gas, Orsted, Shell and SSE.

'A core focus of HUK in 2025 will be hydrogen storage and HUK offers EnergyPathways a unique opportunity to inform leading stakeholders of the large-scale storage potential of the MESH project. Together with other members, EnergyPathways aims to develop an investment environment that will generate the financial returns needed to attract the necessary capital to sufficiently scale up hydrogen solutions, including storage.

About MESH

MESH is a new large scale energy storage facility that is expected to provide a secure and dependable supply of natural gas and green hydrogen for the UK market for over 20 years. MESH has been designed as a fully decarbonised and electrified zero emission facility, powered by the renewable wind farms of the UK Irish Sea region. EnergyPathways aims to be play a leading role in supporting the UK's energy transition and development of a hydrogen economy.
