Fennex has secured a multi-year contract with international energy company EnQuest for the deployment of its flagship AI-powered Behaviour-Based Safety System, BBSS™. This partnership marks a major step in advancing data-driven safety practices across EnQuest’s UK operations.
EnQuest, a leading UK-based operator focused on safely maximising production and extending the life of mature oil and gas assets, manages a diverse portfolio of offshore assets in the North Sea - including Thistle, Heather, Magnus, and the Kraken FPSO - as well as the onshore Sullom Voe Terminal in Shetland, one of Europe’s largest oil terminals.
As of today, BBSS™ is fully live across all EnQuest’s UK offshore assets and the Sullom Voe Terminal. This rapid deployment, achieved in just eight weeks, reflects EnQuest’s commitment to strengthening frontline safety and leveraging intelligent digital tools to drive performance.
Adrian Brown, Managing Director at Fennex said, 'BBSS™ is is now deployed across all EnQuest’s UK-operated offshore assets, and for the first time at a major onshore terminal. EnQuest was eager to roll out the platform quickly, and thanks to strong collaboration, we were able to go live both offshore and onshore in record time.'
EnQuest’s Director of HSE and Wells, Ian McKimmie, highlighted the strategic value of BBSS™:, 'We identified BBSS™ as an opportunity to make a step change in operational safety through making it easier and more user friendly for personnel to participate and allowing us to make more effective use of the resulting leading data. It provides full visibility of engagement in our safety reporting and real-time data, giving us immediate insight into reported issues and the ability to act swiftly for the best outcomes in our operations.'
As the partnership continues, Fennex and EnQuest are working closely to unlock even greater value - using advanced analytics, behavioural insights, and predictive safety tools powered by AI to embed a culture of proactive, intelligence-led safety.
Already trusted by more than 42,000 users and deployed across over 70 offshore projects worldwide, BBSS™ is delivering measurable impact by helping organisations build strong safety cultures and achieve new levels of operational excellence.
This collaboration with EnQuest further reinforces Fennex’s commitment to transforming safety management in high-risk industries through innovative, data-driven technology.
