The acquisition is expected to be the first of a number of transactions between the two companies, through which Enviromena expects to acquire 233MWp of solar and 75MW of co-located BESS projects from Innova before the end of 2026.
Parkgate is fully consented and secured a Contract for Difference (CfD) in Allocation Round 6 (AR6) and is expected to be energised in summer 2028. Once energised, it will generate more than 28,000MWh of clean electricity each year, enough to power the equivalent of over 10,000 homes annually.
The project will be Enviromena’s second large-scale solar farm in Essex, following the construction of its flagship 71MWp Medebridge Solar Farm near South Ockendon which has been operational since September 2025.
