Greenvolt Next has signed an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract with UK renewable power producer Infinis to deliver two large-scale solar parks in the UK, with a combined installed capacity of more than 110MWp.
The agreement covers California Solar Park in Stockton-on-Tees and Gowerton Solar Park in Swansea. Once completed in summer 2027, the two projects will add significant renewable electricity capacity to the UK grid and generate enough clean power for more than 40,000 homes annually.
Under the contract, Greenvolt Next will be responsible for the full EPC scope, including project design, technology procurement, and construction. Infinis is developing both projects and will operate the sites once they are complete.
Construction began at the California site in March 2026, with Gowerton following shortly afterwards. Together, the projects will support the UK’s growing demand for renewable, domestically generated electricity while helping reduce reliance on fossil fuel generation.
This partnership marks an important step in the continued expansion of Greenvolt Next’s EPC capabilities in the UK, complementing its established work in corporate and industrial self-consumption solutions.
By combining Infinis’ experience in renewable energy development and operations with Greenvolt Next’s expertise in delivering energy infrastructure projects across Europe, the collaboration will help bring high-quality solar capacity online efficiently and reliably.
'This is an exciting new partnership for Greenvolt Next as we expand our EPC capabilities, a key component of our business model alongside our C&I self-consumption solutions. These Infinis solar farms will deliver significant renewable energy capacity, create long term value for local communities and contribute to the country’s decarbonisation goals', said Owen Power, CEO of Greenvolt Next UK.
'These projects mark an important step in expanding Infinis’ solar portfolio and delivering more renewable electricity to the UK grid. Working with Greenvolt Next brings together strong delivery expertise to help ensure these projects are built efficiently and to a high standard, while supporting local biodiversity and environmental stewardship and contributing to a cleaner, more resilient energy system', said Andrew LeedingDirector of Development & Construction at Infinis.
Supporting the UK’s energy transition through Solar Parks
The California and Gowerton solar parks will play an important role in accelerating the UK’s energy transition by increasing grid-connected renewable generation and supporting a cleaner, more flexible and secure electricity system. They also reflect the value of strong partnerships in scaling renewable infrastructure that delivers both environmental and long-term community benefits.
