UK: Japex seeks buyers for its interest in the BP-operated Seagull oil and gas field

Japan Petroleum Exploration (Japex) is seeking buyers for its 15% interest in the BP-operated Seagull oil and gas field in the UK, according to a Reuters report.

Seagull, located in UKCS Block 22/29C, started production in 2023 and is expected to produce around 50,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day  (see: Seagull Project in the U.K. North Sea Commences Oil and Gas Production)

Japex's partners in the In the Seagull field include BP, with a 50% stake, and Ithaca Energy with a 35% interest.
