The NSTA has offered dCarbonX a licence for gas storage in the East Irish Sea. The licence allows dCarbonX to make progress towards seeking the necessary regulatory approvals required before gas storage operations can commence, including further approvals from the NSTA.
dCarbonX is a pioneering GeoEnergy company established to develop subsurface assets that facilitate the Energy Transition.

Based in London & Dublin, dCarbonX uses its proprietary knowledge base to originate and build a portfolio of high-value Energy Transition assets offshore Ireland & the UK with a focus on energy storage (natural gas & hydrogen) and carbon capture & sequestration (CCS).
In November 2021, dCarbonX established a strategic energy transition alliance with Snam, which became the main corporate shareholder and now holds a stake of over 50%.
